We’ve long known that Wise-Sync is not going to be the next poster child on TechCrunch, or the subject of satirical comedy on HBO’s Silicon Valley, but will continue to be the glue that keeps your ConnectWise accounting data flowing.

We’ve always held dear that our platform is not cheap for a reason; namely because of the investment and time that goes in to manage such a complex process. Our costs have sky-rocketed, from constant development, 24 x 5 support, to a team dedicated to your success. All of this costs money, and at an average of $115 per month per partner, it’s simply not sustainable for us to continue.

One key characteristic that has come forward from our review of the market forces, is the approach for SaaS companies and the constant evolution of features and pricing. It’s a dysfunctional expectation that a product will continue to extend to deliver new features that create more value, yet not change it’s price. Over the course of our short SaaS life, Wise-Sync has released over 140+ product updates since 2012, and is still yet to change it’s core pricing. Even with basic inflation of 4% that should be a 24% compounded increase since 2014 alone.

For this reason, we’ll be changing the way we charge for Wise-Sync, so that we’re able to offer a more wholistic approach for the use of our platform that recognises the increased costs based on volume and expectations on support.

We recognise that any price change is seen as an impact on your business, which is why we have carefully considered the approach to ensure that we are focusing our pricing based on use of the platform, expected support and application management that comes with these requirements.
